We have been having large groups coming every Sunday. More encouraging, is that most of the families have been coming for about a month and some even longer. It has been great watching God blessing our efforts here.
Enjoying potluck Sunday.
Watching tv. Since we moved the office so Alison could have her own room, the kids now have a couch to watch tv. After their baths they usually watch a cartoon before going to bed!
Well, Alison went back to school today. She was very excited and could not wait to see her friends again. She is in what's called here Kinder III. This is the same as Kindergarden in the states. They are a little more ahead here though. She will have to take a test in March in order to get into 1st grade. The test will have reading comprehension, math, writing (in cursive) and I'm not sure what else. All of this will be in Spanish of course. So on top of that I will be teaching her all these same things in English. I am sure this will be nice and confusing. But I wish that I had learned Spanish at her age!
On Thursday we had a baby shower for one of the ladies from the chruch. Adrianna is expecting her fourth baby the end of September. This family was the first to worship with us. They have been with us since we arrived a year ago. Adrianna's husband was raised in the Church of Christ as a missionaries kid. They finally feel they have found a church home! We are blessed to have them!

Our newest team member! Kayson Sophia Gary. She is two months old today!
On one of the last days of summer vacation I picked up Emma (Omar and Tana's little girl) and went to the park to enjoy the sun! One of the best things about living in Mexico is our wonderful weather! The kids start school on Monday (8-22). Alison is excited about going back, but I think Christian will miss his favorite playmate.
Hard to believe that my little girl has turned 5! The time has gone so fast. This time 5 years ago I had been home for a couple of days recovering from a c-section. An unexpected pregnancy and difinently an unexpected delivery. Though the pregnancy was full of problems with being sick and the delivery was long and ended in surgery, the past five years have been worth it. Although times have been hard, having such a strong willed girl, I can see the wonderful person that God is molding her into. I am so lucky to get to be her Mom and to have her in my life. My little girl is growing up so fast. Sometimes I really wish that I could make time stand still for a while.
We had so much fun celebrating the kids birthdays! It was a fun end to the time we got to spend in the states! We hope to see everyone again real soon!
Happy Birthday!
Jackpot!
Having so much fun!
Why is Nancy the favorite? I just don't understand!
The first part of our trip was in Amarillo visiting Mimi and Grandpa! Guy and Nancy came up for the whole week. We had so much fun celebrating the Fourth of July and just hanging out. It was a great time to be back with family!
I have had a great journey so far! From Scotland to Mexico, and our new adventure, Shawnee, OK. My husband is a pulpit preacher at the Lakeview Church of Christ where we get to serve and love God's church daily! I am his part-time secretary, and no, I rarely get sick of him! We have two beautiful children, Alison who is 8 and Christian who is 6. We love our friends and family and feel very blessed!
