Baby Stover!

I have the first picture of my soon to arrive niece of nephew! You can view the picture and keep updated on Nan and the baby by clicking the link "Baby Stover" in my other blogs link. Personally I think "she" looks just like her Aunt Jessica.

Alison's new passtime...

Alison as found her new hobby! Piggyback rides! She even argued with me about wearing a dress on Sunday because then she couldn't get a piggyback ride from the AIMers! Posted by Picasa

New Friends

The Aimers seem to have become taken with the kids and visversa. Two days this week went by without us seeing the AIMers and both kids were just dying to see them. But they have become a way out of trouble as well. This morning Chris found something broken and asked who did it. Alison's reply "I think one of the AIMers did it". Seriously though, they have been fun to have around and already let Chris and I go out on a date! By ourselves! Posted by Picasa

Our AIMers!

Well the past couple of weeks have been so crazy, yet exciting! We have been so encouraged by our group of young AImers who have come to help us in our mission effort. There arrival remains so much of when I arrived in Glasgow nine years ago. I remember being so eager to learn and to work. I have been so encouraged and revived these past couple of weeks. I am remembering what got me into this life of missions in the first place. I have also found a renewed since of purpose here as I now have young women to help mentor. My personal walk with God as even been revived as I see how excited all these young people are for sharing to gospel (even without the Spanish)! I am encourged for our future here and all the fun and exciting things yet to come. Please keep this group of AIMers in your prayers as they grow and learn spanish.

An unwelcomed visitor..

Usually I am happy to welcome guests into our home and on occasion even role out the red carpet. But this is one visitor whom I hope will never return! We found our first scorpion inside our house yesturday. It was just climbing the wall of our upstairs bathroom. Although I understood when we moved here that Leon has the highest concentration of scorpions then anywhere else in the world, but still, I wasn't really expecting to see one IN the house. So we will be getting our house fumigated and will probably start doing that yearly! So here's to no more scorpions inside the house! Posted by Picasa

A trip to GTO!

This week is Semana Santa, or Holy week here in Mexico. This means that school is out, bussnesses are closed and everyone leaves town for vacation! This year we decided to join them. So the Palafox's and us packed the car and took off for the long journey to Guanajato! Ok, so it's only 30 minutes away! But we only wanted to be gone for one night and Tana is 8 months pregnant! So we decided on GTO. But we had a lot of fun just relaxing and eating! It was a good to be with our family and our good friends! I hope everyone has a good Easter Sunday!
This is where we started our vacation off! That's right, the migration office! But hopefully we will have our visas in a week! Posted by Picasa
