Christmas Day!

Our tree on Christmas morning! The kids were blessed with soooo many presents from family, friends & "Santa".

Alison loved her "sister" doll!

Christian wanted to open all the presents not matter whose they were!

Opening presents was so much fun!

Going through the stockings!

A visit from Mimi & Grandpa

Alison loves to scare away the pigeons!

Downtown next to the big Christmas tree.

Christian could actually hit the ball!

Christian helping Daddy put together the ping-pong table!

At the top of the mountian overlooking Guanajuato.

Mimi and the kids waiting to get on the train to take us to the top of the mountian!

This is beautiful Guanajuato! We had a fun time enjoying the beauty of this old Spanish town.

Superbowl bound?!?!

I found this picture and thought it was great since it incoorperated two of my favorite things! Harry Potter and the Denver Broncos! I to my fellow Denver fans has there been a more exciting year since Elway?! I bought the NFL Sunday ticket so that "Chris" could watch the Cowboys. Needless to say I haven't missed a Denver game all season. In fact it's turned me into a bit a fanatic. I now use words like "clinched" and "first-round bye". I stay up late to watch the game while Chris goes to bed. It's a bit wierd but when we make it to the super bowl it will be worth the grief I have been getting from the "guys" here. Anyways, GO BRONCOS!!!!!

As a church we took several boxes of food to a few families that were in need this Christmas season. It was great to see the church ready to give! The families that recieved them were overwhelmed and we hope that God was glorified through it!
The Christmas tree!

Alison's Christmas Program...

Alison loves the pinata!

They even let Christian hit the pinata!

Christian is excited to watch the show!

Alison, playing Mary in the nativity scene.

She was the best dancer there! And that's not just a mother's bias. Her Daddy said so too!

Alison put her whole heart into her songs!

Alison looks sweet as Mary. They always put Satan into the nativity scenes here.

A new tradition...

One thing that no Mom can deny is how fast the time goes. I have spent so much of the time just dealing with life and trying to get through each day. But by doing that I sometimes miss good oppertunities for fun! So I have started making a real effort to make sure that I have fun with my kids everyday!

This year I decided to make the tradition of making christmas candy. This time we made fudge and chocolate covered pretzels! Mom always made SO MUCH candy. Maybe one day I can do that, but not this year!
It's not as easy, but sure is fun having extra little hands helping in the kitchen!
Christian couldn't sleep through all the fun. He got up from his nap to help sissy and I cook!
Alison stiring the fudge!
The three of us had a blast cooking together!

My first real test in Spanish

On Saturday the 10th we had a ladies day at church. Women came from Mexico City, Guadalajara, and other churches from here in Leon. I was asked to introduce our speaker, Maria Palafox (Omar's Mom). That was fine. I had prepared and knew what I was going to say and I was ready. However, when I got to church on Saturday Tana was sick so she asked me to to lead singing for her. Not only that but before we ate I was asked to say the prayer. Needless to say, by the end of the day I was exhausted. But it was fun. Chris' cousin Erin came up from Mexico City and stayed with us. Also, 6 women from one of the churches we attended in Gaudalajara came. They were very exicted because we had never really talked before! Anyways, it was a great day!
